Domestic Abuse

The rise of domestic violence/ abuse has been on the forefront of the media's eye ever since the infamous Rihanna and Chris Brown case. The West Indian connection raises awareness to a problem that has been kept shoo-shoo (quiet) for too long.
Every time you see a couple fight in Dominica you go and watch but we don't help, we hear the woman being beat and we decide to gossip instead. This stems from an antiquated see-no-evil mentality. Dominicans have traditionally always left spousal problems alone. There can be scarce arugument of whether one should get involved in a married couple's affairs when the life of a person is at stake.
Millions of women die each year from domestic violence...like Taurus Riley says "there is nothing domestic about it"... I urge the younger generation to know their worth and be aware of the signs of domestic violence. It will make a different if you can help.

Man Gets 3 Years For Breast Pinching

Long story short...the title says it all:

Silver Lake, Dominica's Nicholas Roberts is being sentenced to three years behind bars for pinching the left breast of a 9 year old girl.

The incident occured 29 May 2009 in the backyard of the child. She was fully clothed in her school uniform when Roberts pinched her left breast and continued to walk away.

On 5 June 2009, Roberts pled guilty to assault and battery charges. He was also ordered to undergo a 2 week long pyschological evaluation in the Princess Margaret Hospital.

However on 18 June 2009 the magistrate ruled that Roberts results show him mentally stable and fit for sentencing. Roberts claimed he was just "playing with the child, I didn't do it especially" and told the court that after he had touched the child, he realised she had no breasts.

THE LINK UP: We always knew Dominica had their perverts but this is just plain disrespect. The man deserves 10 years behind bars, I bet they will be plenty people to pinch his breasts there.

Swine Flu So The Catholic Church Bans Handshakes!

The Roman Catholic Church has banned the formality of handshakes in the church. Bishop Gabriel calls it an effort to prevent the spread of the Swine Flu aka the H1N1 Virus. Along with the banning of hand shakes members are encouraged to nod instead of hug and kiss. Communion will also be banned and the sharing of the wine.

Dominica has had one confirmoed case of the swine flu. The infected was said to have came from America.

Makes me think why foreigners always want to come and bring their plaugue on Dominicans..

First it was the Haitians, then the Spanish Whores now the Swine Flu... Chewpssss

Oh and the Chinese just always been there...

I wish Dominicans well in staying clear of this dreadful flu because God only knows what damage could be done with the pwai kai doctors we have on the land sicking people children...

Two Soucouyants in Roseau...

On 8 June 2009, Hillsborough Street people slowly gathered at the scene of two old women. Only one thing could make hundreds of Dominicans stand up and watch two old ladies...LOO-GAH-WHOO!!!

Yup! It was alleged that these two old women were both witches unable to cross each other path due to the old folk legend. The legend states that if one soucouyant (witch) meets another old woman or witch she must pass on the other lady's left side or else they could both die or suffer severe injury.

Silly right?... Apparently not. These two women refused to move from 10 am until 6 pm. For it is on the 6th hour that their powers will be broken and the legend will be anulled.

Seen in the youtube video are the two witches Gertrude and Willia being pulled and barred by Cecil Joseph (mayor) and Sonya Felix (friend).

Dominican Man Extinct? Boy What Is Dat?

According to Walter Greenway, Chairman of the National Mens Forum, the Dominican male could be come extinct. This fear is in response to the high crime involving men in Dominica.

The Link-UP: Yes, there is definitely a crime and drug problem affecting largely the male population of Dominica. However, this is by no means grounds to call extinction blight upon native men. I never thought I'd see the day when they say Dominican man going to be extinct...

If you going to make that claim it's to buggarring you should contribute it to, and not drugs and violence.
Because as much gun they shooting, they have seed shooting too...
